Life Saving Equipment donated to Totland
We have today donated an automated external defibrillator (AED) to the residents on Totland. The lifesaving bit of equipment is now available 24/7 in a cabinet outside the parish office on The Broadway in Totland.
We wanted to give something back to the local community that has supported them since the formed in 2018.
Ian Wright, one of our trustees said “We had a discussion over lockdown about giving something back to the local community. We were aware of the importance of the early access to a defibrillator in a cardiac arrest, and realised that there was not one available 24/7 near our workshop. We then took the decision to purchase a Storage Cabinet and an AED from IOW Defibrillators a local charity that helps provide the lifesaving equipment.”
